  great mom and pops place... the service was great.. and the breakfast i ordered was pretty tasty... i love that they give you 3 kinds of salsa... so good!!

  The inside of the restaurant seems a little basic but sometimes basic is good. The service that was provided was good. The food was ok but was missing something that made it special. But if your in the area check it out it's an ok spot.

  I really can't believe I'm gonna say this but I feel that I have to; this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. And for Redondo Beach, that's saying a lot.  I'm not going to get into the ambiance as others have, because in reality, no matter decorations, service, ambiance, etc. Good food overcomes all. In the case of las brisas, this restaurant could be on top of the Eiffel Tower in France, and the quality of this food would make you leap, just to end the dinner.
  
  We started with guacamole for an appetizer,  while looking through the menus. To my astonishment the guacamole that was brought to our table looked like soup. I'm almost positive that this guacamole was store bought because I can see no reason for someone to make it like this.  It is very reminiscent of the guacamole sauce at el polo loco, minus any taste at all.
  
  My wife ordered camarones la verde. Super thin soup like substance green sauce with re heated shrimp. I decided to play it safe after seeing the guacamole and went with the chicken taco, tamale, combination.  The tamale was pretty stale, and the chicken taco was complete slop. I always judge a Hispanic restaurant by their beans, and these re heated, multiple day old bland beans, were a true representation of las brisas. It's really hard for me to explain the quality of this food without using obscene expletives, but I will tell you that mid way through this meal, Taco Bell down the street started looking like a Michelin star restaurant to us.
  
  I'm just completely astounded how a restaurant like this stays in existence.  The quality of food in the South Bay always astounds me, but this one took it to the next level. It's amazing that we strive so much to live in such a wonderful place, and do not demand that the restaurants in the area make that same effort to serve us amazing food.

  This place has been around FOREVER (since the 1950's) and little has changed; it's still offering the same satisfying "old school" Mexican comfort food. Their yummy soups fill my belly (and heart) with warmth on cold, rainy days and I always come here whenever I have a hankering for a crispy shredded beef taco.  And yes, they are known for their delicious Margarita drinks (bet you can't have just one!).
  
  Many of their staff have worked there for as long as I can remember and are absolutely WONDERFUL.
  
  Las Brisas also holds a special place in my heart because in 1959, my parents' garden wedding reception got rained out and the owner of Las Brisas back then allowed my parents and their guests to come and take over their basement to continue the celebration until the wee hours.  So my family and I have been longtime patrons since then, and about 5 years ago, we began a new tradition of celebrating family birthday dinners here because... well, it just seemed appropriate.

  Really excellent food! Excellent service also. You must try the cactus soup. Really delicious! Attached photo may not look appetizing but trust me, it was very flavorful and the pork was really tender and delicious. Chips came with 3 different types of salsa. Even the coffee was delicious.
